Come along to learn seasonal Qigong medical exercise and a Wu style Tai Chi Chuan short form.  For those of you that have never heard of the wonders of Qigong, it's a kind of medical kung fu or moving meditation, similar to Tai Chi.  It uses simple, relaxing movements paired with mindfulness and awareness practices to help you gain more physical and wellbeing and balance.

Classes are packed with useful tools and information including: 

  • simple, yet effective exercise sets to help boost your energy levels and invigorate your body
  • practical and easy techniques to help you relax your breathing, body and mind and improve your balance and coordination
  • physical grounding and centring techniques to help improve your physical, mental and emotional stability
  • exercises to help you release tension, pain and stiffness from your muscles and joints - helping you to increase mobility, softness and suppleness through spherical and flowing movement


I took a Qi Gong course from Emily. I found her to be a very good teacher, calm, knowledgeable, engaging and engaged. She seems to have a deep understanding of Qi Gong, and the ability to communicate its practice and its philosophy to her students. We were a diverse group, and she could make each student feel she understood their challenges and could help. Also, she was funny - always good to laugh. About Emily

Emily began studying studying tai chi, qigong and meditation in 2001 to better understand her body and mind.  She had badly injured her back whilst rowing competitively and sought to find a way of helping her body heal and to have a clearer mind in the face of the stresses and strains of a hectic corporate workload.  She trains with teachers such as Master Bruce Frantzis, Bill Ryan, Chris Ray Chappell and Jamie Dibdin.  She began teaching 5 years ago and brings a wealth of knowledge, understanding and humour into her classes and loves to find ways to keep things as simple and practical as possible.

Emily has a lovely way of teaching that enables you to truly focus on each specific movement and body part. I felt very relaxed after the session and I would certainly recommend Emily.
